Key Features - PerfectPupil®

Perfect Pupil® Injectable is a flexible iris expansion ring with a 0.24mm groove and 9 scalloped tabs to securely hold a billowing, floppy iris through 315°. It is designed to provide the surgeon with an optimal work area and reduce the risk of surgical complications during cataract and retinal surgery.

Perfect Pupil® Injectable is made of flexible polyurethane to keep a small and constricting pupil dilated to 7 mm throughout the surgical procedure. This is especially beneficial during cataract surgery on patients using the drug tamsulosin hydrochloride (Flomax®;Omnic®), known to be the cause of IFIS, where sphincterotomies and pupil stretching are ineffective at maintaining adequate pupil dilation.
